HHS rolls back fingerprint requirements for adults living with migrant children

    HHS will no longer require that all adults living in the same household as migrant children be fingerprinted before releasing the minor to the sponsor. Only the sponsors themselves will have to undergo fingerprinting. [ID #65]

      This settlement in Duchitinga v. Lloyd requires that the ORR schedule fingerprinting appointments within seven days and to finish processing them in ten days for parents and sponsors who are aiming to be reunited with children in ORR custody.
